mcdonald´s budějovická
within the relatively strict operating guidelines that this company has for its interior designs, we wanted to create a pleasant restaurant that would lose the label of a fast food restaurant or food factory. at the same time, we wanted to maintain the cleanliness, practicality and dynamism.
instead of being put in the ceiling, the massive air-conditioning system is hidden in large, curved casings that form a distinctive component of the interior, opening up and increasing the height of the interior of the restaurant and covering the fire shutters and railing. the curve motif repeats itself on the sectional mirrors that optically expand the space, on the front counter, and on the outside of the tray holders.
for mcdonald’s, the change in colour was also not customary. the traditional multiple bright colours were abandoned and in their stead similar, complementary, natural shades of green and white and wood tones were used.
