hergetova cihelna
the emphasis in the interior of this two-storey restaurant is placed on the contrast between both floors. while the bottom floor is minimalist in style, the upper part is romantic and relaxed.
the bottom floor is a three-nave columned interior with vaults that repeat in a regular rhythm. as such, the interior is dealt with in a simple fashion so as not to overpower the unity of the historical space. here we used simple prandina lamps with transparent shades on thin, steel cables. the only prominent item is the bar with its custom-made bar stools for two.
the top floor is used as a dance club and is connected to the bottom floor by two spiral staircases. the broken-up space, marred by the intervention of a number of architects and engineers, made it possible to use a more liberal solution and required more pronounced details. it is mainly the lights that catch your attention – they are like larvae hanging among the roof beams. the seating is low, and screens and floral installations separate the seating areas.
