emporio café flora
the inspiration for this narrow space was found in one of the oldest cafés in rome – the café greco.
due to the layout, people there do not sit face to face, but beside each other. the basic principle of long benches supplement the non-traditional walls – a “construction” made from stainless steel squares positioned at various angles to reflect the space in an erratic manner, and a “vertical meadow” of horsetail stems made by florist mario wild. as in the other emporio chain projects, light plays a significant role. the pipe lights from artemide give the space a certain dynamism and vivacity.
